The South Eastern Europe’s Private Equity Association (SEEPEA) organized its first Annual Conference in Bucharest on November 6th, 2007. The conference aimed to highlight the unique development opportunities that private equity funds offer to both Romanian companies and to Romania’s recently implemented pension funds system. More than 140 individuals, including private equity and pension fund managers regulatory authorities, bankers, legal advisors, entrepreneurs, and company managers, attended the conference. Participants enjoyed presentations on topics including valuation, capital efficiency, developing successful businesses, and corporate governance. The presentations were designed to and succeeded in fostering lively discussion amongst attendees both during and after the conference.
